What happens during a CoolSculpting treatment?
First, you and our doctor will decide which area(s) of your body will be treated. We will then position the CoolSculpting device on your body, which will draw the bulge up between its two cooling panels. There will be a sensation of a firm pull and pressure -- which ensures that the tissue that is selected will be cooled most efficiently. Depending on your needs, you should be done in just an hour or so.
What does one of these procedures feel like?
CoolSculpting is non-invasive, so anesthesia is not needed or used. After the CoolSculpting device is positioned on your body and the cooling process begins, you will feel pressure and intense cold for the first few minutes. Soon this sensation goes away. After this, the rest of the procedure is so easy many people actually read, work on their laptops, or even take naps during their treatment!
How long does the procedure take?
During your one-on-one consultation with our doctor, he will tell you how much time your treatment should take based on your individualized treatment plan. Most times a CoolSculpting sessions will take about an hour. However depending on your needs, treatments can be between one and three hours.
How soon can I return to my normal activities after treatment?
CoolSculpting is very quick, easy and non-invasive, so you should be able to return to normal activities immediately. Some patients do experience redness, tingling, numbness, minor bruising or mild discomfort at the treatment site, but this is temporary and will go away completely. A treatment session is often so easy that many patients actually return directly to work after their CoolSculpting session is completed.
